There are different opinions floating around as to just what the correct terminology is for this version of the 240 and what that terminology describes.  Some contacts I have in Europe tell me we should be saying "Flat Nose", not Flat Hood, and that what is being described is the unbroken line at the very tip of the hood, not the surface of the hood.  Since even the "flat hood" hoods are not really flat, I tend to agree with this.  Stay tuned for an upcoming addition to the Alumni page of an '85 244ti I'm working on.  This vehicle is getting the full "Euro" treatment including E-code headlights and flat nose hood from an early 242.  Neat car!   Here's a sneak peek.
